Megan Bergeron hails from the Evangeline Region of Prince Edward Island, where she was raised in a renowned family whose legacy of traditional music spans three generations. The granddaughter of the legendary Island fiddler Eddy Arsenault and daughter of acclaimed Acadian musician Helen Bergeron (Barachois, Gadelle), Megan’s upbringing was steeped in the vibrant rhythms of her cultural heritage.
An accomplished musician, Megan has performed and recorded with artists across the globe, bringing her unique style to stages in Canada, the U.S., Europe, and beyond. Her piano playing is deeply rooted in the rhythmic traditions of Acadian music, yet it shines with her own innovative touch, blending tradition with modernity. Whether through her compositions or her captivating accompaniments, Megan bridges the old and the new, creating a sound that is as timeless as it is distinctive.

Helen Bergeron

Helen Bergeron (keboards, guitar, fiddle, vocals, dance) is considered by her peers to be one of Canada’s finest step dancers. Her career as a performer has led her to tour Canada, the U.S., Europe, and Japan in a variety of cultural settings as a dancer, children’s entertainer, and musician.
Daughter of the renowned Island fiddler Eddy Arsenault, Helen grew up step dancing and accompanying her father on guitar, eventually adding traditional piano and pump organ playing to her skills. Helen also plays fiddle, sings, choreography dance and has co-written comedic plays as well as the Confederation Centre production of “Racines Acadiennes” with her brother Albert Arsenalt.
Helen founded Acadian band Barachois along with her brother Albert Arsenault, their cousin Louise Arsenault, and Chuck Arsenault. She also co-founded the Acadian band Gadelle, who performs a seasoned approach to their childhood traditions, learned at kitchen parties and community gatherings.
